The Department of Radiation Oncology is dedicated to the development of new and better treatments for cancer. Part of this process includes understanding the molecular processes underlying the life cycle of cancer cells so that we might use this information to enhance tumor destruction. At the Frank Randazzo, Jr. Cell Biology Laboratory our scientists are focused on this goal.
In addition, our department is participating in an array of clinical trials that are investigating new treatments for a wide variety of cancers, including cancers of the gastrointestinal tract, breast cancer, leukemias, lymphomas, lung cancer and mesotheliomas, and sarcomas.
